The company behind the technology – Lumiscaphe – has released the latest version (version 6) of its P3D software suite, which is intended to help clients create digital mockups, integrated into the digital PLM/technical database process. The latest developments in the software include the integration of a range of animation capacities; an environment for kinematic creation, including a camera editor, dynamic textures, timelines and animated camera paths; a configuration system that functions independently in each viewport; and a unified software development kit. The sharing, diffusion, and online validation features are intended to deliver a collaborative experience and increase interaction between the final user and a 3D digital mockup.
