FACC grows workforce to 3,000 employees

Aircraft interiors supplier, FACC, says the aviation industry is recovering according to plan. This market confidence has driven the company to reach its objective of welcoming 200 new employees by the end of the year – indeed it has taken on more than 250 – which takes the company’s staff count past 3,000. FACC says the reason for this rapid growth is not only commercial success – in the last six months alone, new orders exceeding US$500 million have been secured – but also the company’s attractiveness as an employer.

“We are very proud of our 3,000 employees who work at FACC every day to provide the global aircraft industry with innovations made in Austria,” stated CEO, Robert Machtlinger. “All our employees display a passion for the aerospace industry. This innovative strength is also the reason why we continue to cause a stir internationally with new solutions.”

While staff numbers are growing, FACC strives to give every employee the opportunity to develop individually. The FACC Academy offers customised training for the entire workforce, from production personnel to IT specialists. The scheme also includes scholarships for studies at a university or a university of applied sciences, helping develop careers in aerospace.

FACC is also keen to ensure a good balance of work and family life, and therefore provides all-day childcare, the whole year round, through the FACC Kids Club. The company has also implemented working time models that allow employees to organise their work as flexibly as possible. In addition to the possibility of working from home and flexible working hours, co-working spaces and so-called “think cells” are available, to enable concentrated and undisturbed work on projects during particularly intense phases.

Due to the company’s strong order book, FACC has now set itself the target of taking on a further 100 employees by the end of the year. With an order book in excess of US$5.5 billion, FACC forecasts strong growth for the coming years.
