Aircraft interiors specialist, Maritime Aerospace is joining forces with Stahl, a surface treatment and coating solutions specialist, under the name of AeroVisto. The combined AeroVisto company intends to provide interior trim materials and solutions for aviation interiors, starting with the introduction of a range of leather products.

Stahl has experience in supplying interiors materials for various mobility market segments, but is looking to grow in the aircraft interiors segment through this deal. As Stefan Buri, global marketing director for mobility at Stahl explained, “In the next 5-10 years, new disruptive technologies will fundamentally change the automotive industry. That is why we increasingly see premium OEMs seek brand differentiation by providing superior passenger experience in interiors. With boundaries between mobility segments blurring, we see an opportunity to leverage our automotive core capabilities and actively drive the seamless integration of brand experiences across the different mobility modes.”

The partnership with Maritime Aerospace is a consistent next step in Stahl’s strategy to move closer towards end-market segments and accelerate market penetration in the aviation interior segment. Buri: “The partnership will enable us to develop new technologies today that end-markets will request tomorrow. Maritime Aerospace is a competent partner in aviation interiors that shares our values, beliefs and aspiration to offer better products.”

Hermann Bauer, managing director at MaritimeAerospace added, “Winning Stahl as our technology partner means we will gain access to best-in-class surface technology and innovation leadership in interior trim solutions in automotive and other mobility segments. With AeroVisto, we are confident that we can create and offer a compelling new choice for customers.”
