Farnborough Aircraft Interiors Ltd (FAI), a UK-based specialist in bespoke interior completions and refurbishments of corporate, medical and military aircraft and helicopters has announced that Windsor Capital LLP has become an investor in the business. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Headed by father and son team, Hugh and Stewart Macrae, for over 30 years FAI has provided  a variety of interiors services, from full cabin completion through to refreshes, and military and special operations interiors on brand new and previously owned fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

Stewart Macrae, managing director of FAI stated, “The investment allows FAI to expand its service to larger completion projects in new regions as well as growing our airline and large business jet sector offering, whilst ensuring we continue to deliver the highest standards to our existing clients in our established markets. Key to this is the addition of the skills and experience within Windsor Capital itself, supporting our management team with considerable breadth and depth across the aerospace business and our markets, in particular its international experience.”

Dave Edwards, a partner at Windsor Capital added “We’re not an investment company in the traditional sense; rather we’re taking a fresh approach to the aviation industry based on our successful careers within it.  Having worked with Hugh and Stewart for almost 20 years we’ve seen the business grow to become one of the key interiors providers to a significant number of manufacturers, maintenance providers and owners”.
